Karen Wight explores movement of the human form in her work of sculpture, painting, drawing, and photography. "Her investigation has focused her work on the impulse that lives in the center of the cell, beneath the muscle, the bone and into the essence of animation." Her miniature sculptures in silver, gold or bronze are designed to be worn as pendants, or displayed as sculptures on contemporary metal stands. Wight received her B.F.A. from Chouinard, California Institute of the Arts and an M.A. from U.C.L.A. She exhibits in museums and galleries in France, Monaco, Denmark, Germany and the USA. Karen lives and works part time in Sault, France and in New Mexico. |
